- Holotype: uncatalogued, ♀, obtained by F. Wall in 1909. [location unknown, presumed lost]
- Neotype: BNHS 3584 (CESS182), adult ♀, collected by Ashok Kumar Mallik in 2011. [designated by Mallik et al. (2020: 27)]
- Type locality: “Paralai, near Valparai, Anamallay Hills”, redesigned by neotype designation to “Oru Komban hills (10.4077 N, 76.7177 E, 1077 msl), in Parambikulam plateau of Anaimalai Hill complex, Southern Western Ghats, Peninsular India” by Mallik et al. (2020: 27).
