- Type locality: SOUTH AFRICA: Eastern Cape, Graaff-Reinet, Valley of Desolation, 32°17'S:24°28'E.
- Etymology: Gr. kolos – shortened + drilos – penis, refers to the relatively short aedeagus of this species.
