Paracanthocobitis zonalternans (Blyth, 1860)

Neotype: ZSM 27468 [ex ZRC 38458, ex CMK 4915].

Type locality: Thailand, Tak Province, Salween basin, Huai Mae Charno, 4 kilometers south of Amphoe Mae Ramat on road 1085, 16°58'N, 98°34'E.

Etymology: zonatus (= banded); alterno (= variegated with two alternate colors), referring to 12 short transverse bands along lateral streak which alternate with ≈12 dark bands across dorsum.
