- Type locality: O. Afrika, Gomba, lux.
- Holotype: ZMB, ♀, leg. Inst. Amani.
- Etymology: From the Latin torosus, meaning muscular, an adjective suggested by the presence of numerous striated muscles adherent to the spermatheca of the holotype.
