Type species: Hippocehalus multilineatus Ashmead, 1888: Vii [1], by original designation.
Gender: neuter [original designation implies feminine, listing only Zagrammosoma multilineata, which likely has caused confusion to the gender of the genus, although the greek based suffix -soma is neuter.]
