Name
editZagrammosoma Ashmead, 1904: 354. [Possibly intended a replacement name for Hippocehalus, here said to be preoccupied.
Type species: Hippocehalus multilineatus Ashmead, 1888: Vii [1], by original designation.
Gender: neuter [Note: the original species designation implies the genus can be feminine, as lists only Zagrammosoma multilineata with feminine suffix on the species epithet. This may have caused confusion to the gender of the genus, although the greek-based suffix of the genus -soma is neuter. The genus was explicitly stated as neuter in Perry & Heraty 2021: 26.]
