- Holotype: ZMMU A-5822, adult ♂, collected by Parinya Pawangkhanan on 5 April 2017.
- Type locality: “a primary montane subtropical forest on limestone outcrops of Doi Tung Mt., Pong Ngam District, Chaing Rai Province, northern Thailand (N20.344°, E99.830°; elevation 1 050 m a.s.l.)”.
