Hi Stuart, I see your IP is registered to Victoria Uni. I am at Auckland Uni. I am working (as a hobby) on putting all N.Z. organisms into Wikispecies, see New Zealand. Are you interested in helping? Stho002 03:35, 18 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

The only vaguely similar projects I am aware of are Spp2000 and NZOR. If you are involved in another similar project, I would like to know more details! By the way, my highest standard for Wikispecies pages can be seen on Homepuraea and its included species. I hope to bring all pages up to this standard eventually. The plants need a lot of work and my botany isn't that good at present...

linked author names edit

Stuart, linking author's names in references section is not something we do. If you start doing it, there will be perceived a need by some to make all pages follow suit. Best to just link taxon authority names in Name section. Thanks, Stephen Stho002 01:13, 24 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

(Note: This may have been the case back in 2009, but has since long changed. These days most editors link the author names in both the "Name" section and in the references, and the bulk of editors actually find author links in the latter section to be the more important ones, since after all that is the reference section… More information can be found in Help:Reference section. –Best regards, Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 09:54, 25 February 2018 (UTC).Reply

Invitation to join the Ten Year Society edit

Dear Stuartyeates, I believe tomorrow you have contributed to Wikispecies during ten years.

I'd like to extend a cordial invitation to you to join the Ten Year Society, an informal group for editors who've been participating in the Wikispecies project for ten years or more.
