Welcome to Wikispecies!

Hello, and welcome to Wikispecies! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

If you have named a taxon, then it is likely that there is (or will be) a Wikispecies page about you, and other pages about your published papers. Please see our advice and guidance for taxon authors.

If you have useful images to contribute to Wikispecies, please upload them at Wikimedia Commons. This is also true for video or audio files containing bird songs, whale vocalization, etc.

Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username (if you're logged in) and the date. Please also read the Wikispecies policy What Wikispecies is not. If you need help, ask me on my talk page, or in the Village Pump. Again, welcome! Dario and Mario 22:32, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re:User da

edit

  Template:User da created. Now you can use it on your user page. -- Dario and Mario 01:37, 15 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

When you put on the babel: User da, the page is included automatically in the category Category:User da-M, that is the category for the native speakers of danish. I fixed the letters "da" on the template and the babel of your user page.
P.S.: Sorry for my bad English. -- Dario and Mario 02:06, 15 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Obrigado. Thank you very much. I appreciate that. I know there are more urgent tasks to be done here than serving my babel boxes. I would gladly have done it myself if I knew how. I do not see any problems with your English. I am not that good at English either. As long we understand each other, and i think we do. -- Slaunger 10:56, 15 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

VN template

edit

May I make two small suggestions regarding your VN template:

  1. Remove the "|" on the same line as "VN"
  2. Put the closing }} on a line by itself - it makes bot code and adding more entries manually at the end slightly easier.

So you'd end up with:

==Vernacular names==
{{VN
|da="Danish name"
|de="Gernamn name"
|en="English name"
|fi="Finninsh name"
|is="Icelandic name"
|kl="Greenlandig name"
|no="Norwegian (Bokmål) name"
|nn="Norwegian (Nynorsk) name"
|se="Northern Samic name"
|sv="Swedish name"
}}

Certainly, the first pipe was a downright error and rearding the ending braces, you are right. I have corrected it in the template. Cool you noticed it as i am still just trying to "learn the game". I have never used the template yet. As I understand the scope of the project it is important to stick to the right template and page structure. -- Slaunger 21:40, 16 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Saxifraga nivalis

edit

Looks good to me. I have not been adding locality or holotype. Very few articles have them. So I don't have any good ideas. --Open2universe 03:54, 18 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Autopatrolled rights

edit

Dear Slaunger, You have been granted autopatrolled user rights, which may be granted to experienced Wikispecies users who have demonstrated an understanding of Wikispecies policies and guidelines. In addition to what registered users can do, autopatrollers can have one's own edits automatically marked as patrolled (autopatrol). The autopatrol user right is intended to reduce the workload of new page patrollers and causes pages created by autopatrolled users to be automatically marked as patrolled. For more information, read Wikispecies:Autopatrollers.

  This user has autopatrolled rights on Wikispecies. (verify)

You may as autpatroller use the autopatroller user box on your user page. Copy and paste the following code on your user page:

{{User Autopatroller}}

If you have a Meta-Wiki user page, you can put the Wikispecies autopatrolled user box for Meta on your Meta-Wiki user page.
