Type locality: “Montagne d’Ambre National Park, below Antamboka (12°29’S, 49°10’E, ca. 800 m alt.), northern Madagascar.”
Paratypes (3): ZFMK 75753, adult ♂, without locality data; ZSM 267/2004, adult ♂ with well preserved body and tail, but with partly mazerated head, “Montagne d’Ambre National Park (12°29’S, 49°10’E, ca. 850 m alt.), northern Madagascar”; UADBA 27490, adult ♀, same locality as holotype.
