• Holotype: SAMA R20374, adult ♂, collected by M. Davies, A.A. Martin and M.J. Tyler on 16 December 1980.
• Type locality: “Newcastle Creek floodplain at the George Redman Causeway (17°14′ S; 133°28′ E), 37 km N of Elliot, N[orthern]. T[erritory].”, Australia.
