- Neotype: SMR 10710, adult ♂, collected by A. Channing and F. Becker on 4 January 2019. [designated by Channing & Becker (2019: 554)]
- Type locality: “Lichtenstein (Süd Afrika) [=farm Lichtenstein, Namibia]”, redesignated by neotype designation to “Klein Windhoek, Namibia 22.5722°S, 17.1283°E” by Channing & Becker (2019: 554).

- Type locality: “pools in a riverbed . . . Khorixas, northern Namibia (20°22′ S, 14°58′ E)”.
- Paratypes (n=4): TM 83914–83917 (field numbers AC1665, AC1667–1669), same data as for the holotype.
