Tomiyamichthys zonatus Allen, 2015

  • Holotype: WAM P.34319-002.
  • Paratypes: WAM P.34319-003 (2).

Type locality: Alotau, Papua New Guinea, 4.8 km east of main wharf, 10° 18.256’ S, 150° 24.768’ E, 15 m depth.

Etymology: named zonatus (Latin: belted or girdled) in reference to the diagnostic brown bars on the ventral body of males.
