Thryssocypris tonlesapensis Roberts & Kottelat, 1984

  • Holotype: MNHN 1982-1032.
  • Paratypes: CAS 50946 (2), 55433 (6); MHNG 2119.63-64 (2); MNHN 1982-1033 (3), 1982-1034 (1); UMMZ 210277-79 (1, 1, 58), 210280 (36, now 30).

Type locality: Prek Tamen, at or near Snoc Trou, Cambodia [Kampuchea]

Etymology: From Tonle Sap, the enormous permanent backwater of the lower Mekong, into which the Prek Tamen and Prek Tasom flow.
