Holotype: BMNH 97.11.7.82, adult ♀, skin and skull.
Type locality: “Paramo [= Páramo] south of Chimborazo [= Mt Chimborazo],” defined as “Urbina (1°30′S, 78°44′ W) just a few kilometers SE of Chimborazo” by Voss (2007), Chimborazo Dept., Ecuador.
