Holotype: BMNH 96.11.1.4, adult ♂, skin and skull.
Type locality: “La Oya del Barro, W. Cundinamarca, Colombia”; spelling corrected to La Hoya del Barro [= La Hoya del Barro Blanco], small basin situated at the head of the Río Teusacá and includes the Laguna El Verjón (Gómez-Laverde et al. 1997).
