Holotype:
Type locality: undetermined, but has been considered either to be Pallatanga, 4,950 ft (01°59′S, 78°57′ W; 1,500 m), in the Chimborazo Prov., Ecuador (J. A. Allen 1914; Ellerman 1941; Cabrera 1961), or Gualaquiza (03°24′S, 78°33′ W; 750 m elevation) in the Morona-Santiago Prov., Ecuador (Thomas 1920; Gardner 1983); fixed to Pallatanga by Pacheco 2015.
