Type locality: Hawaii, O‘ahu, Ko‘olaus, Mt Tantalus, Pu‘u Ohia Tr, after Bamboo forest from the top, 550–650 m, 21º19'58.9"N, 157º48'54.3"W.

Holotype: BPBM. male ♂. 03.IV.1999. legit M. Arnedo & G. Hormiga. code 17868.
