Thamnophis radix (Baird & Girard, 1853)

  • Holotype: USNM 719, collected by P.R. Hoy, date unknown.
  • Type locality: “Racine, Wisconsin”, restriction to “vicinity of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois” by Schmidt (1953: 172) is invalid fide Tekiela (2004: 57).
