  • Holotype: AMNH 36608 (field no. Tate63), adult ♂, collected by personnel of The Sidney F. Tyler, Jr. Duida Expedition of the American Museum of Natural History on 27 January 1929.
  • Type locality: “the south end of the summit of Cerro Duida, valley between peaks 7 and 16, about 6610 ft (2015 m) elevation, Amazonas, Venezuela. The approximate coordinates are 3°20'N, 65°35'W”.
