Tetragonopterus araguaiensis Silva et al., 2013

  • Holotype: MZUSP 4820.
  • Paratypes: MZUSP 111003 (5 (1 c&s)), 17032 (5), 54523 (3); LBP 4154 (1), 7756 (1 c&s); NUP 12743 (1).

Type locality: Brazil, Goiás, Aruanã, Rio Araguaia, Amazon basin, 14°54'27"S, 51°04'52"W [1].

Etymology: The specific epithet araguaiensis is in reference to the major drainage of the type-locality, the Rio Araguaia, a large tributary of the Amazon basin, central Brazil.
