- Type locality: Xining, Qinghai Province, P. R. China, 36°38'18"N, 101°45'27"E, elevation 2241m, 21 July 2007, coll. Xiao-Feng Xue.
- Etymology: The specific designation pyriana is from the generic name of host plant, Pyrus; feminine in gender.
