- Holotype: CBF 5535, adult ♂, collected by Michael B. Harvey on 25 September 1995.
- Type locality: “northeast base of the Serranía de Huanchaca, Parque Noel Kempff Mercado, Velasco province, Santa Cruz, Bolivia, 13°36′S, 60°55′W, approximately 300 m”.
