- Paratypes: 14 workers, same data as holotype, (deposited in PCAS, PUPAC, SMNK); 1 worker India, Jammu & Kashmir, Kargil, 34.543°N, 76.135°E, 2789 m a.s.l., 27.xii.2011, (deposited in CAS) hand collecting (coll. Irfan Gul); 3 workers India, Jammu & Kashmir, Pahalgam, 34.02°N, 75.19°E, 2190 m a.s.l., 27.vii.1978, (coll. Philip S Ward) (deposited in PCAS, PSWC, PUPAC); 4 workers, 2400–2700 m a.s.l., Daksun, 09–13.vii.1976, (coll. W. Wittmer) (deposited in SMNK, PUPAC).
- Etymology: The species is named after the type locality, Himachal.
