Holotype: KU 159836, adult ♀, collected by Alberto Veloso on 23 November 1972.
Type locality: “Murmuntani, 3200 m, Departamento de Arico, Provincia de Tarapacá, Chile (latitude 18°21′S, longitude 69°27′W)”.
