  • Holotype: AMNH 107389, ♀, collected by D.F. Brand in June 1939.
  • Type locality: “Tzaráracua Falls (= Cascada la Tzaráracua), S of Uruapán (10.5 km south, according to Duellman, 1961), Michoacán, México”.
