Holotype: USNM E11382 [1], collected by Bureau of Commercial Fisheries vessel Oregon II in December 1969.
Type locality: “Oregon II Station 10858, 22°59’N, 78°43’W, 152 fms, South edge of Grand Bahamas Bank”.
