Lectotype: ♀, Rio Janeiro (Kinberg), from the collection of the voyage of the Eugenie, in the Riksmuseum, Stockholm, no. 53/68. (designated by Selman & Vogt, 1971: 1016).

Type locality: Brazil: Rio Janeiro.
