Lectotype: ZMB 3119. Paralectotypes: ZMB 3115-18 (1, 1, 3, 1).
Type locality: Mozambique, Zambezi River.
Etymology: The specific epithet zambezensis is derived from the type locality of the species, the Zambezi River.
