Type locality: Ébeigne, Woleu River at bridge on Oyem-Mitzic Road, 1.4500°N, 11.5980°E [1], Woleu-Ntem Province, Gabon.
Etymology: The specific epithet woleuensis is derived from the type locality of the species, the Woleu River.
