Synodontis velifer Norman, 1935

  • Holotype (unique): BMNH 1934.8.31.146.

Type locality: Ejura [1], Ghana.

Etymology: The species epithet velifer is the Latin word for carrying a sail; it is unknown for what the author named the species like that.
