- Lectotype designated by Poll (1971).
- Paralectotypes: MNHN B-2645 [ex MNHN 1959-0109] (3).
Type locality: Bafing at Ballay [1], Guinea.
Etymology: The species epithet tourei is a patronym and honours Moussa Touré, who was responsible for inspecting Forest Mamou.
