• Holotype: ZFMK 52547, adult ♂, collected by F. Glaw and M. Vences on 4 March 1991.
• Type locality: “am Straßenrand, ca. 1 km südlich von Maromandia an der Westküste der Insel Nosy Boraha (Ste. Marie), Ost-Madagaskar [=“at the edge of the road, ca. 1 km south of Maromandia on the west coast of the island Nosy Boraha (= Île Sainte Marie), eastern Madagascar]”.
