- Holotype: NMBE 1044802, adult ♂, collected by D. Vallan on 25 March 1997.
- Type locality: “"Reserve Spéciale" (RS) d' Ambohitantely, central high plateau of Madagascar, Ankazobe Fivondronana, Antananarivo Province, 18°09′S, 47°15′E, 1500 m a.s.l”.
