- Type locality: INDIA: Meghalaya State, West Garo Hills District, Nokrek National Park, 1100 ± 150 m a.s.l., N 25°29.6’, E 90°19.5’.
- Holotype: ♂; WNHM; glued on paper sheet, abdomen cleared in KOH and pinned beneath the specimen in microvial with glycerine; leg. E. Jendek & O. Šauša; 1996-05-09/17.
- Eponymy: in honour of Ignac Sivec.
