Type locality: Ellicott Rock Wilderness, 7.5 miles SE of Highlands on Bull Penn Road, 35.01872°N, 83.13717°W, Macon Co., North Carolina, USA, elevation 2900 feet.

Holotype: AMNH. female ♀. 22.VI.1976. legit F. Coyle. IZC 295617.
