Scorpaenopsis rubrimarginata Fricke et al., 2013

  • Holotype (unique): MNHN 2012-0401.

Type locality: off Saint-Gilles, La Réunion, 21°03’23"S, 55°13’04"E [1], 80 m depth.

Etymology: The specific epithet is a combination of the Latin Ruber (= red), and marginatus (= margined). The name of the species refers to the conspicuous red margin of the pectoral fin.
