Syntypes (2): USNM 4491 and 2046. [lost fide Gotte in Wilson (1999: 12)]

Neotype: UTEP 1349, ♂. [designated by Gotte & Wilson (2005: 600)]

Type locality: “Fort Bliss, New Mexico; Indianola to Nueces, Texas”, redesigned by neotype designation to “AOR [alive on road] on Hueco Tanks [State Park] Road (Farm Road 2775), 0.25 miles [= 0.4 kilometers] N junction with United States highway 62–180”, by Gotte & Wilson (2005: 600).
