Holotype: MUMF 11048. Paratypes: MUMF 11040, 11041 & 11047 (dissected for examination of intestine and air bladder) (3), 11042-11046 (5).

Type locality: India, Mizoram, Lawntlai District, Koladyne River at Kolchaw, 22°23'45"N, 92°55'56"E.[1]

Etymology: The species is named after the Koladyne River, its type locality.
