Sceloporus torquatus Wiegmann, 1828: 369 [conserved name]

  • Lectotype: ZMB 629, adult ♂, collected by F. Deppe in 1825. [designated by Campillo-García et al. (2021: 791)]
  • Type locality: “Mexico”, restricted to “México, Distrito Federal”, by Smith & Taylor (1950).
  • Paralectotype: ZMB 631, adult ♂, same data as for the lectotype.
  • Placed on the Official List of Specific Names in Zoology by Opinion 759 (1966: 290).
