• Holotype: UMMZ 244413, adult ♂, collected by W.E. Duellman, A.S. Duellman, and R.E. Etheridge on 2 August 1956.
• Type locality: “Mexico: Michoacán, Parque Nacional Uruapan, 1676 m”.
