Holotype: USNM 229646, adult ♂.
Type locality: “Pailas, a tambo on the trail between Sevilla de Oro [78º38’ W, 02º47’ S] and Mendez [78º18’21” W, 02º41’58” S], on E or NE facing slope [Rio Negro Valley on northern versant of Cordillera Zapote Naida], Morona-Santiago, Ecuador”.
