Acroteriobatus annulatus (Müller & Henle, 1841)

Syntypes: (2) BMNH 1843.2.29.22 (1, stuffed); MNHN A-8586 (1).

Type locality: Cape of Good Hope, South Africa.

Etymology: annulatus (= ringed), referring to white annular rings around body and tail. (From The ETYFish project)
