Rhina ancylostoma Bloch & Schneider, 1801

  • Lectotype: ZMB (lost).
    • Lectotype designated by Paepke 1999 as the specimen figured in Pl. 72.
  • Paralectotypes: ZMB 4621 (1, dry, lost).

Type locality: Coromandel, India.

Etymology: angkylos (= bent, hooked or crooked); stoma (= mouth), probably referring to bow-shaped mouth. (From: The ETYFish project)
