- Type locality: Upper Cretaceous (Turonian) amber, New Jersey, Middlesex County, Sayreville, white oaks pit.
- Paratypes: ♂, AMNH NJ-692, same data as holotype.
- Fossil range: Upper Cretaceous (Turonian).
- Etymology: named after William Keith Emerson.
