Holotype: 1 Male syntype and 1 female syntype in MNHU. (Trötsch, coll. Staudinger).

Synonyms
editQuentalia umbrata (Schaus, 1906). Was described on a female from Costa Rica under the name Carthara umbrata Schaus, 1906. Quentalia umbrata is a junior synonym of Quentalia maevia (Druce, 1898).
