- Type locality: GREECE: Crete, Orno Thriptis, E Thripti, 35°05′34″N, 25°52′41″E, 970 m.
- Holotype: Volker Assing private collection, ♂, 7.IV.2014, V. ASSING.
- Etymology: The specific epithet is the past participle of the Latin verb praecidere (to shorten) and alludes to the short paramere (in relation to the median lobe).
