Type locality: Rio Paraíba, Mendes (23°31’34”S; 43°43’29”W), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Holotype: MCZ. male ♂. legit N. Thayer.

Synonyms

• Heteromma anomala Mello-Leitão, 1935: 356 (synonymized by Lucas & Bücherl, 1973: 241)
