Type locality: Northwest Pacific Ocean, 43°58′11″N 157°19′07″E / 43.969833°N 157.318500°E / 43.969833; 157.318500 – 43°57′49″S 157°21′35″E / 43.963500°S 157.359667°E / -43.963500; 157.359667, depth 5422–5379 m.

Holotype: SMF.

Paratype: IORAS Cat. Nr ECH00881.

Etymology: named after Lev Ivanovich Moskalev.

Note: Mironov et al. (2019: 13) cite the species before its first description in 2020, both articles was intended to be published in the same year same volume but for some reason Gebruk, Kremenetskaia & Rouse (2020) was published next year in the next volume.
