Type locality: "collected as float from the southeast bank of the Ichibangawa River in Aoyama, Tobetsu-cho, some 10 km south-southwest of Kamuishiri Mountain, and some 8 km north-northwest of the Ishikari-Tsukigata Station of the Japan Railroad (JR) Sassho Line, Ishikari-gun, Hokkaido", Japan.
Holotype: CBM-PV 382
Eponymy: "Kikuo Muramoto of Mikasa City, Hokkaido, who collected both the holotype and paratype" [Kohno, 2006: 412]
