Holotype: NMSL 2013.01.01 NH, 05.iv.2010, adult male; coll. L.J.M.W, D.R.V., S.C.A. & A.W.A.C.
Type locality: Sripada (Peak Wilderness), Ratnapura District, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka (060 48’31”N & 800 8’14”E; 1334m).
Etymology: Named after Channa Bambaradeniya, a leading wetland scientist who has been working immensely to protect the wetlands and its ecosystems in Sri Lanka.
